Bible Lessons International was founded by Dr. Bob Utley in 1976 in Lubbock, Texas. Initially, Dr. Utley taught the “Uniform” Sunday School series on local radio and television stations. In 1979, however, Dr. Utley felt the Lord leading him into an expanded media ministry. At that time a tax-exempt, non-profit educational corporation was formed which began to produce all three Southern Baptist Convention Sunday School lesson series (Life and Work, Uniform [or International, used by all denominations] and Bible Book).

The present location of the ministry is Marshall, Texas. Subscribers to the ministry’s study guides — audio Bible commentaries, printed Bible commentaries and CD-ROM commentaries — include churches, prisons, hospitals, military bases, foreign missionaries, Bible study groups, and many individuals. Dr. Utley retired from East Texas Baptist University as Professor of Hermeneutics after 16 years of teaching. Presently, he teaches/preaches in churches in the U.S. and abroad.

One of the ministries’ main outreaches is the website www.freebiblecommentary.org. Here are posted for free download the entire collection of Dr. Utley’s audio, video and written commentaries and sermons. All materials are copyrighted, but can be shared, printed or copied provided credit is given to Dr. Bob Utley and a link to www.freebiblecommentary.org is included in the posting or publication.

Dear Friends, I am happy to bring you a Christian Site that provides Articles on The Bible and Science.  Here you will find loads of articles discussing the merits of Creationism vs. Darwinism and learn that there is much more debate on the latter than many people recognize.  The author of this site, Jim Schicatano, is a recognized author and has been highly praised for his book The Theory of Creation.

I hope that you will take the time to visit Jim’s site and maybe even pick up a copy of his book!

Recently I was fortunate enough to come across a wonderful Christian Resource site that has several helpful blogs on topics ranging from Hebrew and Greek Bible Helps to  Men’s Bible Study Helps!  And although this site has in depth analysis and commentary of topics that most long-time Chrisians would find useful, it is also a great place to send those who are new to the Faith and would like to learn the basics of Christ.

Overall we are happy to bring you yet another quality site that is run by an equally kind webmaster in Bill.

One of my favorite sections on the site was the Skeptic’s Corner where those who are new to Christianity, or those who don’t yet believe, can find the ethical and Biblical arguments for Christ’s place as the Messiah.
